Following the theme of Natural Formations, the Norman Rea Gallery invites you to explore a wide range of works from the University's collections. The opening night is Monday 24th April.
The collection contains a wide range of pieces, including those by acknowledged masters, such as Barbara Hepworth, Sydney Nolan, Paul Nash, Joan Eardley, Keith Vaughan, Jacob Epstein, Mary Fedden, John Hoyland, Patrick Caulfield, R. B. Kitaj and Elizabeth Blackadder. It also holds pieces by prominent local artists, including Austin Wright, John Langton, Russell Platt, David Lloyd-Jones and Sally Arnup. The breadth of the collection encompasses ancient and modern ceramics, textile-art, sculpture, painting, printmaking, book-art and photography. A catalogue will be available on the night providing more information on specific pieces, materials and their themes within the exhibition.
Running alongside our exhibition, a ‘Sculpture Trail’ will be available, giving you the chance to explore additional works on campus as well as the opportunity to win a prize!
